Cypress Primary School in South Norwood, South London

This grant has funded the purchase of seeds and plants for a new vegetable garden. The space is peaceful for students with different needs, provides nutritious fruits and vegetables, and the outdoor classroom area allows for learning about the environment and our food system.

Kelvin Grove Primary School, in Sydenham, South East London

Funds in this case have supported the purchase of new raised garden beds and gardening tools for pupils to use. The allotment area within the school grounds has weekly gardening workshops with children, mainly but not exclusively, from the groups using the Rainbow ASD Resource Base. Additionally, there is an after school gardening club for parents and children running March- October. Produce harvested  is taken home by the children or passed onto community members in need through the Eliot and Kelvin Community.
